Little Saplings & Mighty Oaks

Run regulary throughout the year, Little Saplings and Might Oaks are child led play sessions (letting the child follow their own play patterns) involving but not limited to the following activities;

Mud kitchen, Den building, Hammocks, S’mores on the fire.

Easter Egg Hunt

A popular community event for children and adults alike where visitors get the chance to roll their eggs down the brae, discover hidden treasure and enjoy games and other activities. This event is sponsored by local businesses that purchase Easter Eggs for the children.

Duck Race

Now an annual event in the FOSP calendar the ‘Duck Race’ invites residents, businesses and visitors to purchase ducks in this popular fundraising event. Everyone is invited to come along and watch over 2000 ducks slide down the ‘duck chute’ from the top of the park with the aid of gallons of water to the bottom. Prizes are won by the winning participants in the business race and peoples races.

Bandstand Beatz

With the restoration of the bandstand in 2023, FOSP now provide annual musical entertainment at the bandstand for the community and visitors to the park. The past years have attracted several hundred people to hear live bands perform on the bandstand, with the most outstanding backdrops of the Avon Valley beyond. This event like all other events is free and food is available for those attending.

Halloween

A highlight in the community calendar, this event attracts hundreds of people who come along to our annual scare night in the park and surrounding area. Stories and scares await all those who venture into the darkness. Participants are encouraged to avoid bringing torches or cameras to the event.

Christmas - Elf Hunt

An opportunity for children to take part in the annual ‘elf hunt’ and receive a free selection box from Santa, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Like other events, food and drinks are normally provided to those in attendance, which helps us to raise vital funds. On Christmas Eve, Santa and his elves are often seen travelling around the village, greeting children in anticipation of Christmas.
